We loved Dr. Boutros Ghali since we were children......we see in him many high quality Virtues from courage, determination, patience, respect, dignity, humility, wisdom......
Boutros-Ghali: No, Islam is a private matter. For that reason alone -- and since 10 percent of Egyptians aren't Muslims -- it can't be the solution to every political problem. What we need is a law that provides true equality to Muslims, Christians and all other religious groups, such as the Bahais. ...................

Boutros-Ghali: The most important thing is that Europe shouldn't conjure up a religious war in Egypt. Instead, it should concentrate on gaining a detailed understanding of what's really going wrong in our country. What we need are plans for addressing poverty, overpopulation and underdevelopment. What we don't need are well-meant but ultimately counterproductive words that only serve to divide our society.
We sees that ignorance is the wrote cause of all problems...........

Baha'is and Politics # 2
“As you are aware, Baha'is do not engage in partisan political activities:
“You should take every opportunity to explain to your fellow citizens the fundamental principle of the Faith that strictly prohibits involvement in partisan political activity of any kind, whether local, national or international. Baha'is view government as a system for maintaining the welfare and orderly progress of human society, and obedience to the laws of the land is a distinguishing feature of their beliefs. Iran is dear to the Baha'is, who are the well-wishers of all. In whatever country they reside, including the birthplace of Baha'u'llah, they strive to promote the welfare of society. They are enjoined to work alongside their compatriots in fostering fellowship and unity and in establishing peace and justice. They seek to uphold their own rights, as well as the rights of others, through whatever legal means are available to them, conducting themselves at all times with honesty and integrity. They eschew conflict and dissension. They avoid contest for worldly power. Neither do they aspire to overthrow governments, nor do they participate in the schemings of others to do so. Canada Prime Minister Stephen Harper declared recently that, "We are more united than at any point, than we have been, in four decades." .................It need not be just noted, but celebrated. A new unity, a more mature stage of nationhood has arguably been reached, setting the stage for more ennobling possibilities.A new unity? Best in 40 years, as the PM puts it?................ The lessening of dependence enhances Canadian independence.
Over time, Canada has faced three unity threats: American annexation, Quebec separatism, Western alienation..... But now, all three threats have significantly receded or been vanquished. Times are preciously few when we have been able to say this......It took a while, but the big, sprawling, multicultured family is getting its act together. The new harmony gives the country an opportunity to behold new frontiers, new national projects ................The country can get on, finally, with other stuff. And hallelujah for that!
