Baha'is and Poverty

‎"Poverty... is not merely the lack of material resources, but also the absence of those ethical and social resources that create an environment in which individuals, through social institutions and communities, can develop to their fullest capacity." ~ Baha'i International Community

What is the Bahá’í attitude toward poverty?

Bahá’u’lláh taught that extremes of wealth and poverty are not conducive to a just society and must be eliminated. Bahá’ís understand that with the development of a proper culture of work as service to humankind, supported by such means as just governance and universal education, the problem of poverty will be resolved.

Stand By Me - Song by many Musicians

Amazing video of musicians all around the world recording the same song, "Stand by Me", each in an outdoor setting, ingeniously edited!

Playing for Change is a multimedia music project created by the American producer and sound engineer Mark Johnson with his Timeless Media Group, that seeks to bring together musicians from around the world. Playing For Change also created a separate non-profit organization called the Playing For Change Foundation which builds music schools for children around the world.
