Reading "Close Connections-the bridge between spiritual and physical reality" by John Hatcher:
"Baha'u'llah explains that the station of entering the "presence of God" as promised in scripture does not signify entering the physical presence of God - whether in this life or in the next. Instead, this metaphorical phrase indicates a process of perceiving the attributes of God as expressed through and explained by the Manifestation of God .....Baha'u'llah explains the distinction between God as Creator, as "unknowable Essence," and the Manifestations of God, who by perfectly embodying all the attributes of God, enable human beings to perceive all the aspects of godliness dramatized in human actions, who then exhort humankind to emulate Them..........According to Baha'i Scripture, the Manifestations embody all the attributes of God perfectly and, therefore, They also exemplify the same paradox of a dual nature...."
O SON OF MAN! Veiled in My immemorial being and in the ancient eternity of My essence, I knew My love for thee; therefore I created thee, have engraved on thee Mine image and revealed to thee My beauty. (Baha'u'llah, The Arabic Hidden Words)
