كلمة لحضرة عبد البهاء توضح أهمية تعليم الأطفال: يجب على الأباء والأمهات أن يقوموا على تشجيع الأولاد فى السنوات الأولى من العمرعلى إجادة كل انواع العلوم ، و يصبحوا مهرة في كل الفنون -- لان الهدف , بفضل الله, أن يصبح قلب كل طفل من الأطفال مرآة لكشف اسرار الكون وسبر غور حقيقة الأشياء .......بالتأكيد ، بالتأكيد .....لا اهمال في تعليم الاطفال.

Exert every effort to acquire the various branches of knowledge and true understanding. Strain every nerve to achieve both material and spiritual accomplishments. Encourage the children from their earliest years to master every kind of learning, and make them eager to become skilled in every art--the aim being that through the favouring grace of God, the heart of each one may become even as a mirror disclosing the secrets of the universe, penetrating the innermost reality of all things; and that each may earn world-wide fame in all branches of knowledge, science and the arts.
Certainly, certainly, neglect not the education of the children. Rear them to be possessed of spiritual qualities, and be assured of the gifts and favours of the Lord.

Plastic water bottles !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Choose your water bottles very carefully in order to prevent chemicals in the plastic from leaching into your water. Plastic water bottles are very convenient for carting water around when we are on the go, as they don't break if we drop them. However, it is worth paying attention to the type of plastic your water bottle is made of, to ensure that the chemicals in the plastic do not leach into the water. If you taste plastic, you are drinking it, so get yourself another bottle. To be certain that you are choosing a bottle that does not leach, check the recycling symbol on your bottle. If it is a #2 HDPE (high density polyethylene), or a #4 LDPE (low density polyethylene), or a #5 PP (polypropylene), your bottle is fine. The type of plastic bottle in which water is usually sold is usually a #1, and is only recommended for one time use. Do not refill it. Better to use a reusable water bottle, and fill it with your own filtered water from home and keep these single-use bottles out of the landfill.Unfortunately, those fabulous colourful hard plastic lexan bottles made with polycarbonate plastics and identified by the #7 recycling symbol, may leach BPA. Bisphenol A is a xenoestrogen, a known endocrine disruptor, meaning it disturbs the hormonal messaging in our bodies. Synthetic xenoestrogens are linked to breast cancer and uterine cancer in women, decreased testosterone levels in men, and are particularly devastating to babies and young children. BPA has even been linked to insulin resistance and Type 2 Diabetes. Nalgene, the company that manufactures the lexan water bottles also makes #2 HDPE bottles in the same sizes and shapes, so we have a viable alternative. Order one at Nalgene.
Unfortunately, most plastic baby bottles and drinking cups are made with plastics containing Bisphenol A. In 2006 Europe banned all products made for children under age 3 containing BPA, and as of Dec. 2006 the city of San Franscisco followed suit. In March 2007 a billion-dollar class action suit was commenced against Gerber, Playtex, Evenflo, Avent, and Dr. Brown's in Los Angeles superior court for harm done to babies caused by drinking out of baby bottles and sippy cups containing BPA. So, to be certain that your baby is not exposed, use glass bottles.
Check the recycling numbers on all your plastic food containers as well, and gradually move to storing all food in glass or ceramic. Store water in glass or brass if possible, and out of direct sunlight.

The religion of God has two aspects in this world

The religion of God has two aspects in this world.
The spiritual (the real) and the formal (the outward). The formal side changes, as man changes from age to age. The spiritual side which is the Truth, never changes. The Prophets and Manifestations of God bring always the same teaching; at first men cling to the Truth but after a time they disfigure it. The Truth is distorted by man-made outward forms and material laws. The veil of substance and worldliness is drawn across the reality of Truth. As Moses and Jesus brought their Message to the people, so Bahá'u'lláh brings the same Message.

Each time God sends a Great One to us we are given new life, but the Truth each Manifestation brings is the same. The Truth never changes but man's vision changes. It is dulled and confused by the complication of outward forms.
The Truth is easy to understand although the outward forms in which it is expressed bewilder the intelligence. As men grow they see the futility of man-made forms and despise them. Therefore many leave the churches, because the latter often emphasize the external only.

Even during the famine of the mid 1980's, Ethiopia was exporting grain that could have been used to feed its own people to the West - feed for livestock.

Open letter from International Federation for Human Rights - Paris, dated June 1st, 2008 to President Ahmadi-Nejad President of the Islamic Republic on Situation of Baha'i Detainees

Excellency,
We are writing to you to express our utmost concern regarding thefate of seven members of the Baha'i community who are currently in prison...... were arrested inTehran on 14 May 2008, by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence. They are members of the national coordinating group of Baha'i in Iran, an informalbody that was formed with the knowledge of the government to assist the300,000-member Baha'I community in the country.

We urge the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran tocommunicate the place of detention of those seven persons, the exact chargesbrought against them and the date of their trial. We also urge you to allowindependent international observers to observe their trial. The right to a fairtrial, including public hearings, the prohibition of discrimination based on religious beliefs and the right to freedom of religion are all enshrined in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), that has beenratified by Iran.

We express the hope that you will take those elements intoconsideration and are looking forward to your prompt reply.

لماذا تخلف المسلمون؟‏(9)‏بقلم : رجـب البنـا

أولا‏:‏ سيطرة الأصولية‏,‏ وعدم التسامح في المجتمعات الإسلامية تسبب في الخوف لدي العلماء وتضع القيود علي فكرهم‏.

‏ثانيا‏:‏ عدم وجود المناخ العلمي‏,‏ والمجتمع العلمي‏,‏ وعدم توافر الدعم الكامل والمعامل‏(‏ الاهتمام بالفن وبالإعلام أكثر من الاهتمام بالعلوم‏)‏ثالثا‏:‏ عدم توافر الحرية في ابداء الآراء والتضييق علي أصحاب الفكر غير التقليدي ومقاومة كل نقد للآراء المتوارثة‏,‏ ولذلك لانجد في المجتمعات الإسلامية مانجده في المجتمعات المتقدمة من مناقشات عميقة ومفتوحة وحوارات حرة تسمح باطلاق العنان للفكر والوصول إلي التجديد والإبداع‏,‏ الحوارات في العالم الثالث تدور في حلقة مفرغة وتنتهي من حيث بدأت ولاتؤدي إلي نتيجة عملية‏.‏

يقول البروفيسور محمد عبدالسلام إنه لم يحدث ان تم اتسغلال أحاديث علماء الدين ومواعظهم وخطب الجمعة لاستنفار المسلمين وتشجيع الشباب علي التوجه نحو العلم والتكنولوجيا علي الرغم مما في القرآن من آيات تدعو المسلمين إلي التفكر والتدبر والبحث في أسرار الطبيعة والكون والانسان‏.‏ وحتي عندما يتحدث بعض رجال الدين عن تقدم العلوم في العالم الاسلامي فإنهم يتوقفون عند الانجازات العلمية التي حققها العلماء المسلمون في القرون الأولي ولايحرضون علي مواصلة العمل لكي يتحقق في الحاضر والمستقبل مثل النهضة العلمية التي حققها العلماء المسلمون في الماضي‏.

نحن في إنتظار ديسمبر المقبل

في حواره مع الأهرام أكد الدكتور بطرس غالي رئيس المجلس القومي لحقوق الانسان أن مصر تعد حاليا لاستضافة أكبر مؤتمر تجمع دولي لحقوق الانسان في ديسمبر المقبل بمناسبة احتفال الأمم المتحدة بمرور‏60‏ عاما علي إصدار الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان الذي شاركت مصر في صدوره‏,‏ وقال إن المؤتمر سيناقش قضايا تعزيز الحقوق والحريات‏,‏ ودور المنظمات الأهلية في الدفاع عنها‏,‏ وتعزيز مكانة المرأة‏

تم الاتفاق بين مجلس حقوق الانسان ومنظمة اليونسكو والفرانكوفونية علي تنظيم مؤتمر دولي بالقاهرة نهاية العام الحالي‏,‏ وسيحضره عدد من رؤساء الدول والحكومات السابقين والحاليين وشخصيات دولية مرموقة فكريا من أوروبا والدول النامية وإفريقيا وأمريكا اللاتينية ورئيس منظمة الوحدة الافريقية والمفوض السامي لحقوق الانسان علي مستوي العالم‏,‏ ولجان ومجالس حقوق الانسان والمنظمات الأهلية غير الحكومية بالدول العربية‏,‏ والإدارات الحكومية المعنية بها‏,‏ في أكبر تجمع دولي للمهتمين بقضايا الديمقراطية وحقوق الانسان

الحكومة والحريات الدينية - في المصري اليوم

اتهم نشطاء في مجال حقوق الإنسان الحكومة بعدم الالتزام بالمعاهدات الدولية لحقوق الإنسان، خاصة المتعلقة بممارسة الحقوق والحريات

الدينية للأقليات. وأشاروا خلال الندوة التي عقدها منتدي الشرق الأوسط للحريات مساء أمس الأول، بعنوان «الحريات الدينية في مصر»، إلي أن الحريات الدينية والفكرية في مصر تعاني مأزقاً كبيراً. ونفي بهي الدين حسن، رئيس مركز القاهرة لحقوق الإنسان، في كلمته بالندوة التي شهدت حضوراً لافتاً من المسيحيين والبهائيين والشيعة، أن يكون الدين الإسلامي بصفته الدين الرسمي للبلاد، سبباً في قمع الديانات الأخري، موضحاً أن مشاكل الحرية الدينية في العالم تمثلت خلال السنوات الأخيرة في مجموعتين، إحداهما تنتمي للعالم الإسلامي، والأخري إلي العالم الشيوعي، معتبراً أن السبب الحقيقي لهذه المشكلة هو غياب الإرادة السياسية وعدم وجود نية لدي الدولة لإقرار الديمقراطية، مؤكداً أن كلمة «المواطنة» تم الزج بها في الدستور لأهداف تجميلية وسياسية، لدفع غير المسلمين الذين يشكون من التمييز الواقع ضدهم، إلي التصويت علي التعديلات.

وقالت الناشطة البهائية الدكتورة بسمة موسي، إن البهائيين علي الرغم من أنهم مصريون ويعيشون علي هذه الأرض منذ ما يقرب من ١٥٠ عاماً، ويدفعون الضرائب كبقية المواطنين، فإنهم لا يستطيعون الحصول علي أقل حقوقهم في استخراج بطاقات الرقم القومي، نتيجة لاختزال الديانات إلي ثلاث ديانات فقط وحذف كلمة أخري من البطاقة

All the soccer players were young - between 10 and 14 years of age......................Gabor Karagich, the 31-year-old Black Stars coach, was pleased with his boys' behavior but said it is what he expected of them. His goal, he says, is "nurturing good human beings, not only good soccer players."That he is serious about this is reflected in the dual nature of his program - football practice twice a week, a Saturday class twice a month.The boys - there are about 20 of them - have named the class the Forro Csoki Klub (Hot Chocolate Club), and while there they do talk about football. But that's not all."We evaluate how the training went," the coach says of the class. "We look at what made it possible that we played more unitedly or what happened if we were not so attentive towards each other. We also discuss topics related to our behavior, what it means to be good, one's responsibility towards others and society...."Mr. Karagich receives financial support for the project from a Baha'i-inspired nonprofit organization in Hungary called the Unity in Diversity Foundation.The director of the foundation, Mrs. Furugh Switzer, said the boys in the soccer program are from disadvantaged families who normally cannot afford this type of sports training. The program, she said, is provided free of charge to participants and not only offers quality instruction but also helps keep the youngsters away from things like drugs and alcohol.Coach Karagich, who is a Baha'i,...... The atmosphere of the training is so good.""For the six years that I've been a trainer I have never had this type of support from the parents," the coach said. "At first it was weird to get so many telephone calls, but now I know their support really helps the work we're doing." Mr. Karagich said part of his motivation comes from his own background."When I was a child I had some real trouble," he said. "I started this club to help these boys avoid some of the mistakes I made."He works to create a collaborative rather than a competitive spirit among the team members."We had a child who thought this was a team like all the others where you had to be the best player," the coach said. "In the beginning it was hard for him to make friends with the other boys because he was in competition with them. But now he understands the way the team works. He is getting along with everyone and has a good time."Another of the boys used to spend all his time alone in his room on the computer. Now he likes to go to football practice and the Hot Chocolate Club to spend time with his friends, the coach said. Mrs. Switzer of the Unity in Diversity Foundation says the program is helping the boys develop a social perspective."Gabor organized for them to go to play a football team at the orphanage," she said. "Afterwards, the children at the orphanage took them around the place, and now all the boys have become friends. After their visit they discussed the importance of being kind to others and being of service to them."

الأديان الثلاثة تتفق: المتعة بين الزوجين ضرورة

تقول الدكتورة ملك يوسف زرار، أستاذ الشريعة الإسلامية، إن الإسلام نظم العلاقة الحميمة بين الزوجين تنظيماً شرعياً، فجاء بالقرآن الكريم «فإذا تطهرن فأتوهن من حيث أمركم الله» وقد جعل الله مسؤولية المعاشرة علي عاتق الرجل «المباشرة» وفقاً لضوابط شرعية أقرها الرسول، عليه الصلاة والسلام، ولا يجوز التعدي عليها، كي يحصن الرجل زوجته، ويتقرب بها كعبادة إلي الله يقصد بها إنجاب نسل صالح،

ومن الإسلام إلي المسيحية.. قال القس رفعت فكري سعيد «راعي الكنيسة الإنجيلية بأرض شريف بشبرا»: العلاقة الحميمة بين الزوجين في المسيحية تكلم عنها الكتاب المقدس كعلاقة مقدسة وليست خطيئة طالما هي داخل إطارها الصحيح، والخطأ هو العلاقة خارج نطاق الزواج، وهناك آيات كثيرة في الكتاب المقدس تتحدث عن العلاقة الحميمة بين الزوجين فمثلاً يقول: «ليوفي الرجل المرأة حقها وكذلك المرأة» فلا يوجد شيء «حرام» أو يشين العلاقة الزوجية، بالإضافة إلي أن الله منذ بدء الخليقة خلق هذه العلاقة التكاملية بين الرجل وامرأته فكل منهما يحتاج إلي الآخر».

وفي اليهودية هناك قسم يسمي «ناشيم» النساء في التلمود يؤكد أن المتعة الجنسية في اليهودية ليست خطيئة بل حق للزوجين علي أن يبدأ الزوج علاقته مع زوجته بالملاطفة والقبلات،
