Baha'is are expected to lead a high moral life, practising qualities such as truthfulness, trustworthiness, love, kindness, chastity outside of marriage. By trying harder each day to practise good qualities, spiritual transformation will happen. Spiritual transformation means growing closer to God.
Baha'is are not allowed to drink alcohol, use non-medical drugs, gamble or backbite.
We are a Baha'i family, born & raised in Egypt. We love to share our thoughts and views on a few topics based on Baha'i principles, such as family life, education, human rights and the environment.

Baha'i perspective on parenthood
We are doing everything we can to bring up our children in the love of God and have goodly character and guide them to become healthy, happy, and useful members of our society.
"..from their childhood instill in their hearts the love of God so they may manifest in their lives the fear of God and have confidence in the bestowals of God. Teach them to free themselves from human imperfections and to acquire the divine perfections latent in the heart of men..."Abdu'l-Baha

CONSULTATION is part of Baha'i family life
Consultation is part of Baha'i family life. It is essential to every family to be able to overcome the problems that we face today. We always ask our children their opinion when we decide to go somewhere or do one activity together. They right away cooperate and help to the best of their ability. It is always easy to teach them consultation at a younger age.
Consultation brings unity and love to the family.
"The atmosphere within a Baha'i family as within the community as a whole
should express 'the keynote of the Cause of God' which ...is not dictatorial authority but humble fellowship, not arbitrary power, but the spirit of frank and loving consultation'." (Lights of Guidance)
